I am currently undergoing measurments to ensure a place in a high ranking graphic design university, unfortunatly due to financial situations I cannot produce any more work or a decent portfolio. Is there anyone who can give me any tips for showcasing my work cost effectivly and in a pleasing manner?
p.s. any other tips for my interview will be appreciated greatly?…

I really don’t know what to tell you, maybe get a job at a print shop if you want to cut corners. I am in one of the best Canadian privitized arts Universities, NSCAD. It was like jumping through hoops to get in, but I worked at a photo shop for a few years with a digital department. I would guess my portfolio is easily a grand retail cost anyway.
Not to discourage you but the percentage that gets into my school is maybe 3% of all applicants. From what I know they won’t even consider you. It may be detremental to your scholastic career to make assumptions like you don’t need a portfolio. Yes you can apply the next year again, but they won’t forget your name. I would wait a year and build up a solid portfolio if it was me.
