Venn was subcontracted by a local technical communications company, Cyberscribe Solutions, to conduct usability testing for a new application being developed for Delta Controls. The application allows home owners to control a sophisticated heating/cooling system for multiple thermal devices—furnaces, hot water tanks, floor heating, and heated driveways—through a central wall-mounted touch screen.

As with Venn’s other usability testing clients, the cycle included writing user scenarios based on personas, creating test scripts, conducting in-person usability tests, and writing a thorough report with an analysis of the test results. The 50-page report was written in accordance with Common Industry Format for Usability Test Reports.
